SMT Travel Grants

The SMT provides funding to certain eligible groups to travel to the annual meeting, including underrepresented ethnic minority groups, international scholars, independent/unsupported/undersupported scholars, those who need family care, and those whose attendance at the Annual Meeting incurs extra disability-related expenses.

ACCESSIBILITY TRAVEL GRANTS
Available to those SMT members whose attendance at the Annual Meeting incurs extra disability-related expenses.

FAMILY CARE GRANTS
Available to those SMT members whose attendance at the Annual Meeting incurs extra family care expenses. This grant is available only to current SMT members.

INDEPENDENT, UNSUPPORTED, OR UNDERSUPPORTED SCHOLAR TRAVEL GRANT
Available to those who do not have academic positions, or who study or teach at institutions that do not support scholarly conference attendance.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL GRANTS
Available to non-US and non-Canadian citizens who reside outside of the United States and Canada.

MINORITY TRAVEL GRANTS
Available to individuals belonging to an underrepresented ethnic minority group and who are citizens of, or currently residing in, the US or Canada.
