Paper and Session Proposals

This submission portal should be used to submit most paper and session proposals, including panel, workshop, roundtable, film, and special session proposals, both single society and joint.

Proposal Guidelines

AMS Proposals

Use this form to submit an AMS proposal for an individual paper, poster, session, workshop, roundtable, or film. Except for workshop and roundtable proposals, all other proposals abstracts should exclude personally identifying information. As a reminder, all participants (including presenters, chairs, and respondents) will be required to register for the annual meeting.

AMS CAM Special Call: Professional Development Proposals

Use this form to submit an AMS professional development proposal for a workshop, roundtable, or paper session. paper session proposal abstracts should exclude personally identifying information; workshop and roundtable proposals should identify participants. As a reminder, all participants (including presenters, chairs, and respondents) will be required to register for the annual meeting.

This CAM Special Call may only be answered by the designated leaders or representatives of existing AMS study groups, chapters, and committees submitting on behalf of their group.

AMS Study Group or Committee Proposal

Use this form to submit an AMS proposal for a study group or committee session. AMS committees and study groups are guaranteed one session at the Annual Meeting. As a reminder, all participants (including presenters, chairs, and respondents) will be required to register for the annual meeting.

AMS Performance Proposal

Use the performance proposal submission form to submit a proposal for a concert, lecture-recital, workshop, or other type of performance.

SEM Organized Session Proposal

Please note the following instructions for the “Organized Session Proposal” form. If you are proposing a 120-minute “Panel” with 3 papers and a discussant, list the discussant as the last presenter and enter “Discussion” in the title and abstract fields. In the “Remark to the Program Committee” field, provide the following information, if applicable: 1) length of a roundtable, multiple films session, or group workshop (see Call for Proposals); 2) any sponsorship of your session by an “SEM Section”, “SIG”, or other group. Check the “Video-Stream Permission” box if all participants in your session grant SEM permission to offer live and archived public video-streams of your session. Carefully review the SEM Call for Proposals for additional details in preparing your submission.

SEM Individual Presentation Proposal

Please note the following instructions for the “Individual Presentation Proposal” form. If you are submitting a proposal for a workshop, indicate its length (60, 90, or 120 minutes) in the “Remark to the Program Committee” field below. Carefully review the SEM Call for Proposals for additional details in preparing your submission.

SMT Paper and Poster Proposal

Use this form to submit an SMT proposal for an individual paper or poster session. As a reminder, all SMT participants (including presenters, chairs, and respondents) will be required to register for the annual meeting and be a current member of the SMT.

SMT Special Session

Use this form to submit an SMT proposal for an integrated, alternative, or standing committee session. As a reminder, all SMT participants (including presenters, chairs, and respondents) will be required to register for the annual meeting and be a current member of the SMT.

Joint Proposal

Use this form to submit a proposal for a joint session, workshop, or roundtable. Joint proposals should present a balance of participants from two or three societies.
